Traveling the Paths of Life

As computers have become more powerful, the creation and design of images has come to rely more and more on computer graphics, while computer graphics have been given freer reign by moving into the area of fine arts, where they are no longer strictly limited to "design" applications. Eddie Huang is one of the few artists working today who is able to bring a genuinely high level of artistry to his creative work in computer graphics.
The works of Eddie Huang are richly informed by literature; they speak to us of his early background in a family of tavern-keepers, his feeling for his natural surroundings in the rivers and mountains of Taiwan, and the mood of a drifter as he moved from place to place due to his work and constantly faced new environments.

In his work Huang moves beyond the cool stiffness sometimes associated with computer imagery and reveals the depth of his experience in traditional painting. Having graduated from a university oil painting department, Eddie's shift to computer technology and his use of a modern vocabulary conveys his love for his native land and his changing moods as he travels the paths of life.
