December is an exciting month for Taiwanese photographic fans!  Besides the upcoming Photo Taipei, Aki Gallery is going to present a Chinese Photography Group Exhibition – “elsewhere‧atmosphere”, Including 6 artists: Zhou Hongbin(周宏斌)、Maleonn(馬良)、Chen Nong(陳農)、Liu Yue(劉月)、Chu Chu(儲楚) and Luo Yongjin(羅永進), as the last international photo feast of this year.

While Photography as contemporary art from is gradually popular and widely discussed in Asia, the rapid and tremendous change of Chinese Art scene is unneglectable. Especially under its unique historical and political background, what history has influenced in Chinese art development is very interesting. In “elsewhere‧atmosphere” we have invited artists borne from 60’s to 80’s, who will bring the different perspective of interpreting modern life in China.

In 2010, Aki Gallery has showed several important photographic exhibitions such as “It must be your sexy way” in March which shows Japanese master Araki Nobuyoshi and Shinoyama Kishin’s works, Taiwanese Master Chao-Liang Shen’s solo exhibition in August. We have the ambition to introduce exciting and distinguished contemporary arts from all over the world. On 11th December, we sincerely invite you to participate the opening reception of “elsewhere‧atmosphere—Chinese Art Photography”.
