“Because we keep dreaming about this world, we always feel lost.” said WU Yung-Chieh.

WU Yung-Chieh took her first step into art world at 2004 and awarded Taipei Arts Award Best-selected at the same year. Afterwards, she earned great praises and attentions in many important art fairs such as Art Taipei and Young Art Taipei.

Her paintings are drawn with various subjects, colorful lines and objects. They are framed with irregular outlines. It’s aesthetic, doubtful and fascinating, that’s you can obviously see in Wu’ works. Through those works, the artist’s fantasy of real life is also released.

WU Yung-Chieh looked realistic world as a huge garden where blooming beautiful plants and enjoyments. The “Thorns” is the reflection of her own life and troubles, cares and doubts surround her. In this exhibition, Wu creates the tiny thorn of flowers, viewers will observe the world by this tiny thorn, all of your fantasies and imaginations about this world are going to break!

“Just as expected, I have to admit that life is full of wonder.” said WU Yung-Chieh.
