This year, AIR Taipei takes you to go through and explore TAV (Taipei Artist Village) in downtown and THAV (Treasure Hill Artist Village) on the waterside! We would like to show you the creativities and interdisciplinary Art!

In Art Supply I, Mr. Cheng-Tsai Chen, a Taiwanese video artist will present his new work “The Angle” which is a video sculpture installation. Young performing artist, Meng Ping Chou, is going to exhibit her video installation piece “Stop, Communicate, and Listen” and will also have a behavior performance every Saturday. A visual artist and also a designer, Kim Meek exchanged by UNITEC exchange program of New Zealand will show his post-colonial style photography pieces “Move”. Japanese artist Isaji Yugo is an exchanging artist from BankART1929 Yokohama. He is good at using daily commodities to do artworks and try to create a new type in sculpture. With different material and types, these four artists use video, performance, installation or sculpture to speak out their point of views and observations of this society, communicating behaviors and culture shocks.

What are the difference and the meaning if one behavior in daily life happened on the stage? Participating artists obtain materials from daily life, then reproduce their ideas to artworks such as the subtle connection between human beings and objects, the cultural symbols, and communications among human beings are being discussed in this exhibition. “Art Supply I” will lead you to these discussions and bring you to this intellect interchanging experience!
