In ancient Chinese legends, gods and fairies had superior power to do anything they want and make their dreams come true, which human beings did not have. Then, many ancient Chinese people tried hard to imagine and prove their point to discipline themselves, show self-control, and possess alchemy. Thus, they could sublimate themselves as immortal figures.
The title of this exhibition is called Penglai Grass Mountain, which is similar to the sound “Penglai Celestial Mountain” in Chinese. The exhibit theme aims to produce a fictional fable to achieve a surreal desire. This time the exhibitors tried to fabricate some meditation or sublimated methods to make up the incompletion in real life.
Hopefully, through these casual and humorous expressing approaches we can make our viewers connect their own experiences of their lives when seeing this exhibition.
