From December 3 through December 30, 2010, The Capital Art Center will present the exhibition for Hong Tien-Yu, an extraordinary artist.
Mr. Hong creates his unique style for expressing the preservation of the natural surroundings of Taiwan. The idea of his paintings is not only about presenting the beauty of any scenery or landscape. He uses the blank in his works to show the conflict between human’s development and the environment. In his paintings, the color represents the natural substances, organic matter and the lively world of life; the blank represents artificial materials such as buildings, trash and any kind of man-made product that ruin the pure beauty of nature.
People are hardly aware that the beauty of nature is gradually disappearing because of human’s exploration and development. If you take a closer look at Hong’s paintings, you will see the helpless eco system, and you can predict what kind of future is going be built. In order to awake people’s attention on natural environment, Capital Art Center welcomes your participation to enjoy the scenery through Hong Tian-Yu’s creations.
