Dynasty Art Gallery will present you the first time solo exhibition "Tao Yuan Er Tsun" of Chang Yu Teng on 9/3~9/25. "Tao Yuan Er Tsun" attempts to show whole creation feature of Chang Yu Teng in these three years and the viewpoint of "beautiful ideal" from artist himself. Chang was born in 1983 in Taipei, and he will graduate from National Taiwan Normal University, Department of Fine Arts (MA) immediately. His works have ever been shown in different kind of exhibition and art fair as YOUNG ART TAIPEI, and he has won many awards like Chi Mei Arts Award, Cross-strait Oil Competition Award as well.

Chang Yu Teng thinks everyone probably has a limitless expectancy dream about the future. To build his ideal Utopia "Tao Yuan Er Tsun" for his dream, Chang uses ready-made things to be the subject and fantasy scenes to be the background. Real and fictitious world makes strong contrast. For Chang, this contrast let him understands that heart and soul are the springhead of creation.

Modern ready-made things plus classical oil painting concept is the technique of expression that Chang Yu Teng wants to talk about what is his Utopia "Tao Yuan Er Tsun". "Tao Yuan Er Tsun" series get used to use an empty fort to be the main subject. It means a kind of personal living field. Different objects are combined together in one same scene, and the artist gives them different meaning: rose is wonderful result, butterfly is the symbol of fantasy, key hints some way of the answer. Actually, Chang thinks everyone can give subjective opinion to the works. It improves the scene interest and space imagination, also expresses the unique thought of the artist adequately. Chang Yu Teng set the composition brilliantly, and his works can attract viewers to think the contents of the works further. When viewers think more beyond the works, they will raise mysterious feeling to his works automatically.
