GALLERY IND. is pleased to announce the silkscreen exhibition by Yuka DOUTOU.
She often brings into her works the images of highly characteristic cats, butterflies, rice balls and so on. Originally drawn by hand, and then processed by computer, these images and the multiple combinations of them give us a feeling of funniness, loveliness, or even a little eeriness.
The title of the exhibition, as a backup, has such a proverbial meaning as “If you are prepared, you don’t have to worry.” or “Be prepared and have no regret.” − the theme following her first solo exhibition, carefree days …, with a bad feeling.
This time she is planning to fill the walls of the gallery with still more intricately designed pieces than before, which may be hard to recognize even when you take a close look, but they will surely make you feel overwhelmed.
