Creative Moment
by SoHo art gallery
Location: SoHo art gallery
Date: 25 May - 13 Jun 2010

We are very happy to announce “Creative Moments”, a group exhibition by ten contemporary artists from Helsinki, Finland, to take place at our gallery from May 25th to June 13th of this year.

An opening reception will be held on May 25th, with several of the artists and AVA owners in attendance.

The objective of this show is to present to the Japanese public in Osaka - through documentation videos and the exhibition of the finished art works themselves - a closer look into the featured artists’ art-making and creative processes, and to mark the beginning of co-operation and art exchange between Helsinki’s AVA Galleria and Osaka’s SoHo Art Gallery.

The aim of ”Creative moments” is to present through video documentation the delicate moment of artistic expression when an artist is producing his/her work, and then to share the results with the Japanese public through the exhibition of the final pieces in a group show held at SoHo Art Gallery in Osaka from May 25th to June 13th, 2010.

“Creative Moments” features the works of the following Finnish contemporary artists:
Anja Luolajan-Mikkola, Anne Rossi, Eeva Muli, Gunilla Helve, Hanne Juga, Iria Ciecka Schmidt, Jari Järnström, Karita Kivikoski-Veijalainen, Leena Mäki-Patola, Marko Viljakka, Minna Herrala, Panu Hemminki, Päivyt Niemeläinen, Tarja Tella, Gunilla Helve.
