To create a pure painting space without reproducibility or an unnecessary story, Kandinsky used music as a motif. 'A tempo' series by Hee-Sook Park consists of instruments, such as violin, clarinet, and horn, and it stimulates the sense of ear and musical images. Meanwhile, a work which seems a drape of clothes reminds of 'The Annunciation' by Leonardo da Vinci', or Piero Manzoni's work in 1960s. However, her style is more elegant. It emphasizes texture, thus looks like solid work.
Works by Matsuoka Yoshiko keep stubborn silence. Highly refined scene give a feeling of the noiseless world, as well as high-pitched tone people cannot hear.
A 'Space' made by difference between two artists. Is it harmony or noise?
