Art U is now holding a show of Kazuo Shiraga for the second time this year, this time focusing on his water colors. The highlight of this show is a collaboration by three Gutai artists, Kazuo Shiraga, Sadamasa Motonaga and Shuji Mukai, all of them were core members of the Gutai Art Movement which originated in Osaka in the 50's. This collaboration is done on a scroll reaching more than 5 meteres in length.
We also show more water colors, including a large piece entitled 'Yufuin', which was painted with his feet in ink on a folding screen.
We hope this will be an opportunity to enjoy another side of Shiraga.
