Introducing emerging young artist, '@KCUA Showcasing You! Project Vol.3' will feature Shishi Yamazaki's animation works. Yamazaki has worked on rotoscope animation using hand drawing with herself as a motif. For the new exhibition, She recreates a part of her first solo exhibition in Tokyo, 'Shishi Yamazaki's Omoshiro Nama Video,' and presents real images, the original form of her animation works.
Born in 1989, Shishi Yamazaki is an animator and mask designer. After entering the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, she commenced producing rotoscope animation using hand drawn watercolor painting-like drawings. Additionally, Shishi has been working on her lifelong project launched on May 11, 2010, for which she will create one face mask each and every day. Her artwork has featured in the promotional material of internationally recognized brands, such as Prada and Shiseido.
