In the 1980s, many well-known artists came down to Shiun-Do, Tadashi TODA’s atelier located in the Kita ward in Kyoto. He joined the Japanese Wood block print Project by Crown Point Press, Inc., since 1982. His unique genius, free of stereotypess and grounded in solid technique, was highly trusted. Until Tadashi passed away in 2000, he collaborated with many artists including Francesco Clemente and Alex Katz and made a wealth of wood block prints. In this exhibition’s we show Tadashi TODA’s works, evaluated by artists the world over, and introduce his prominent print skills.
