'Origami is the art of paper folding, which started as substitution of the equipment used in the Shinto rituals. It has evolved into the culture of Japan and has been changing into a very skillful paper folding now. The beautiful form of Origami is produced by the following three elements: the act of folding, the folds and paper layers created by folding. These overlapping elements create one form, therefore, I try to break up the relationship of these elements to express individual beauty and strength. With the concepts of “Action”, “Time”, and “Layers”, which is the common concepts to my works, I will show my interpretation to Origami.

The works “verbal – putting into words” try freezing the words and time with picture postcards. When the picture postcard was written, when it was received and read, and when the picture or photograph drawing/printed on it were seen – it is the time that is value of the picture postcard, and what we want to retain. I would like you to see how the picture including the power of the words exists as a crystal of the images. '
