Fuyuhiko Takata has worked on video art as well as performance and photography. This exhibition is his first solo at Kodama gallery, and before it, he has announced his shocking work which got a wide attention from the audience in a group exhibition at Shirokane Art Complex. 

Takata's video is sometimes grotesque or erotic so that it receives underestimate with excessive expression. Like an actor, he sets up 'delusion' for a new artwork and brings his emotion to a deep-seated delusion. For example, his initiative video "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE"(2009) set up a situation of creating PV by a person obsessed with Britney Spears acting like her. He expressed a process is an emotional one to fall into delusion but his work is not a cheap simulation one symbolizing pop icon or sex symbol. 

In this exhibition, his early video works  "JAPAN ERECTION"(2010)、"MANY CLASSIC MOMENTS"(2011)、"VENUS ANAL TRAP"(2012)、and "LOVE EXERCISE"(2013)" and new video and installation will be on display. HIs new work is imaging of piled famous women's head objets like totem pole, and its performance in video installation.
