Qu Xin has been very much interested in the style of surrealism ever since his early stage, and was very much influenced by Yao Qing Zhang, the surrealism master from USA who had been teaching in China and giving instruction to Qu Xin on his graduation works. Though Qu Xin has been exploring various materials and media on different subjects, his works so far still have a style of surrealism. Qu Xin's paintings give extremely fresh feeling to people.

Qu Xin's works in this exhibition are painted on papers in the past two years, realistically in his own exquisite way. These unusually clean and fresh pictures bring to people peace, humor and warmth, and put on it some dim fine gauze that makes it more elegant. Qu Xin's paintings mean some extremely fresh feeling to people.

Qu Xin is a presistent artist, and he paints according to his own sentiment and understanding on art. There is hardly any visible symbol language or popular cultural element in his paintings as in contemporary art, while his modest and true feelings make us more impressed.
