"They" Solo exhibition will be held at 4:00 PM in Beyond Art Space. "They" Art group is formed by Yang Xiaogang and Lai Sheng. This exhibition will display paintings, photographs (the photographer Chen Li cooperates with They) and a video which will show their works of art in recent years.

The works of “They” through the traditional and modern, East and West, political, and consumption of images which are rearranged on the same work, they are eliminating the boundaries of space and time. The use of these images intend to extend the modern connotations of the images and fit them into the context of globalization and consumerism. The new works of “They” continue an extension of their reflection on urbanization and modernity. They are marked by their question of their own cultural identity. Their works are endowed with a sense of distance and time and are permeated with nostalgia. For people living in the city, nostalgia is a dream to find a spiritual home.
