Since the year of 1978, there are tremendous changes that never appeared in the past three thousands years in China history, such as the fabric of the society, the way of life, peoples’ values and language - all of these changed greatly in China, and these changes continue to be going on. The post -‘ 80 generation who bore and grown up in this period, while in the enjoyment of good material conditions at same time they have to face to conflicts between different cultures even the problems which arisen from it - the way to live, to grow up and the development of culture. We could feel such stress and confusions from a large number different styles art works created by the Post - ’80 generation, no matter the works in one way or another, it clearly presented to us.
Through paintings by Wang Yang, Guo Shuling and Liu Tianlian who are Post – ’80 generation, behind the oil, acrylic, canvas and coloring ink, silk and paper, there are their Never Land.
In the fact, no one could stop this political and economic modernization, every one of us can’t be alone and independent observers, we have to actively or passively to understand, interpret and participate in the historical flow of the Chinese modernity, just like the Never Land not only belongs to Peter Pan written by J.M.Barrle, people who are in the historical tide may could find their own Never Land too.
