Beijing Commune is pleased to announce the opening of the new exhibition "No Fruit at the Root" on October 20th, 2012. Showing her latest works of installation and video, it is the second solo exhibition of Hu Xiaoyuan with the gallery. The exhibition will last until January 28th, 2013.

Artist: Hu Xiaoyuan

Hu Xiaoyuan was born in Harbin in 1977 and graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2002. As one from the emerging generation, Hu Xiaoyuan has received extensive attention from the art world. Significant exhibitions she has participated in include  "The Ungovernables: the Second New Museum Triennial" in New York, USA(2012) and "Documenta12" in Kassel, Germany(2007).
