As Man Tao said in an interview “…I’m simply revealing my thoughts in a quiet or turbulent manner through paper and brush”, Man Tao is a young artist who is fond of artworks on paper. He is less fond of self-expression through talking, sometimes he would stutter in his speech, thus, painting becomes his way of expression, his life⋯⋯
Man Tao's works are mainly ink & wash on rice-paper or pencil drawings, simplistic and innate. Like a medieval monk, he would bring with him a roll of paper and take his drawings where-ever he roamed, sometime he would take up to 3 months to fill the blanks on his paper densely and finely. This is a portrayal of his style both as artist and in person.
