The artist, one of the 10-member team of the non-governmental organization Green Project (GP), traveled by low CO2 emission vehicles, along a course of 13,000 kilometers, from Athens to Beijing, a trip organized in the framework of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008.
 
The pictures showed the diversity of the people living along the ancient Silk Road, the beauty of the desert and the broad horizon, new road arteries and tunnels, old monuments and grand contemporary architectural buildings, hydroelectric stations and stations of eolic power, natural gas pipe lines, mausoleums and mosques that feature bio-climatic elements, some of them included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
