Guillaume Janot’s photographic practice is mainly related to travel and movement and his work oscillates between document and fiction. In his photographic project Ecostream, begun in 2006; he explores constructed environments, and displaced landscapes. From Disneyland to the Sydney Botanical Gardens, from Beijing parks to the Zoo de Vincennes, the world of images that make up this corpus is that of delocalized and fabricated spaces with a strong artificial dimension, whose use is essentially dedicated to leisure. The Concrete series, realized in 2011, consists of a set of photographs of trees built in concrete. These fake trees are located in a somewhat forgotten theme park in Northern Beijing. Also shot in Beijing, the Welcome Home series was taken in the IKEA store between 2010 and 2011.
