Mio Pang Fei is one of the most important artists in Macao. He has moved to Macao since 1980s. Exposing himself in a new environment, a small northern city with a unique cultural landscape, the artist gradually formulated a peculiar artistic expression.

Rambling among the modern and tradition, the artist has constructed an extensive understanding towards Western and Eastern art. By combining the artistic rationale across the boundaries, Mio’s works never fail to impress the audience with the vigorous spirit. While constructing their own forms and style, they are also expressing the artist’s perception toward the universe and generating a distinct orient beauty. Mio’s works have an enormous influence and implication toward contemporary art development. This exhibition is named “A Frontier Odyssey: Works by Mio Pan Fei”. The artworks express the artist’s attempt in artistic research and exploration.  Infusing with different expression and elements, the works are proven to be the extension of his subjective artistic conception.
