Yellow River is our mother river. It has been surging forward since Xuanyuan Emperor till now, as it cultivates the Chinese nation generation by generation, by inheriting the Chinese civilization. Hukou Grand Waterfall is the most representative parts of Yellow River as to its natural power. The pictures aims to deliver that these uprsing peasants are forced to be on despair, and have to burn their boats to death without any regrets, as there is no way back; each picture tries to express the complicated human nature of these peasants, such as barbarism, desperation, conspiracy, greed, unity, hypercriticism, division, metamorphosis, confusion, illusion, sincerity, materialism, hell, heaven, confidence, decision till nirvana at the end.

Since Song Dynastny, there have been about 170 bridges located in Luxian county, Sichuan province. Each bridge is delicately decorated by the stone dragon head with the simple flat body structure. In this series work of Dragon Bridge, I chose some of the bridges that I am able to connect each other by showing the scene of people’s daily life, who are the local residence. From the images of my work, you can see that people carries their products or belongings for exchange. The scene is a kind of dream-like that displays as the Chinese scroll painting in the form between the black and blank space, thus the dragon being endowed by a new life, where the time seems to be as still as water, and people in the scene are likely to be melted down into the water.
