by Swire Properties
Location: ArtisTree, TaiKoo Place, 1/F Cornwall House, Island East
Date: 7 Jul - 9 Aug 2011

Thirty of some of the world's and the region's most well-respected creative talents are all asking the same question "what's next" with their works, at the invitation of Hong Kong-based designer anothermountainman (Stanley Wong).

2011 marks the thirtieth year in the creative career of anothermountainman, who takes this opportunity to initiate the "what's next 30 x 30" creative project, with a view to individually and also collectively look back, be present and move forward. He hopes to present for the next generation a creative future with a humanistic and global vision by putting together this creative quest with 30 international artists in the integrated forms of dialogue, art exhibition, forum, videologue and publications.

anothermountainman trotted the world for the past two years to engage in dialogue with grand masters who have inspired him greatly, with like-minded contemporaries and with amiable new creative talents.

These 30 creative minds of different generations and from different disciplines will be exhibiting a piece specially created or selected in response to this dialogue on the future of creativity. The works on exhibit embrace a multitude of creative disciplines in art, design, photography, cinema, music, fashion and more. anothermountainman will also be exhibiting 30 works echoing each of these works. These will include his more recent works of social and philosophical quests, as well as over ten of his new works.

"what's next 30 x 30" creative exhibition will be opening on 8 April in OCT Art & Design Gallery of Shenzhen. The exhibition will close on 25 May and move on to its next stop in Hong Kong at ArtisTree, Island East from 6 July to 9 August. Some of the works featured in the Hong Kong exhibition will take on a new format.
