Born in Hubei in 1962. Fang is graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Hubei Institute of Fine Art in 1983. He is currently the director of Research Institute of Art Dept of Huanan Normal University and a member of China Association of Artists. Main exhibitions include: 6th and 7th National Art Exhibition in 1984 and 1988 (China), 1st Exhibition of Chinese Oil Painting in 1987 (China), 2nd Exhibition of Chinese Oil Painting in 1994(China), 1st Exhibition of Oil Painting Society of China in 1996 (China), Exhibition of Chinese Oil Painting in 1988 (Japan), Exhibition of Chinese New Art in 1996 (Bonn Modern Art Museum, Germany), Asian International Art Fair in 1997 (Hong Kong) , Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Art in 1997(Singapore National Art Museum), Exhibition of Contemporary Art in 1997(Austria), Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Art in 1997 (Poland), Contemporary Chinese Art in 1997(Denmark),14th Asia International Art Exhibition in 1999 (Japan). Fang's artworks are collected by Art Museums, Galleries and Foundation in Germany, Singapore and China (Shanghai and Canton).

As an artist, Fang Shao Hua sticks to his pursuit of the ultimate kindness and beauty of arts. He uses extraordinary artistic language to create a land of clearness or wisdom not available in the earthy world, thus enables the current society to make comparisons of the gains and the losses, and which enlightens and guides the search for a better world.
