Date: 15 Dec 2010 - 2 Jan 2011

Harbour City’s “Gallery by the Harbour” is pleased to present ”FROM MY WORLD TO YOURS” Art Exhibition by Yoko Furusho from 15 December 2010 to 2 January 2011. Yoko will be in town to attend interview sessions from 12 to 18 December 2010.

Yoko Furusho, a talented Japanese-born New York-based young artist, will be staging her first solo art exhibition in Hong Kong at Gallery by the Harbour. Often looks to fashion and classic stories for inspiration, she is fascinated by drawing details, textures, and patterns with ink and acrylic. Her works are full of fantasies and imagination of her own, trying to tempt the audience into her wonderland.

The exhibition will showcase a full collection of Yoko’s recent artworks and hand-made products. Alice in the Wonderland, one of her most favourite classic stories, is always the source of inspiration that influences the development of her works. She composes her own wonderland, re-interprets this classic story with her own distinctive style. Animals, plants, dreaming girls and fairy tales are often the key motifs in her works. She draws the viewers of her works into another sweet yet psychedelic universe, thereby sharing her hallucinatory experiences with them. There will also be T-shirts, tote bag, hand-made mushroom cushion, and bird pillows for sale during the exhibition.
