Apart from the widening hole in our ozone and ever-increasing world temperature due to global warming, there is another unstoppable global phenomenon that is sweeping across the world, subtly yet influentially – Global Heart-Warming. With only one word different, global warming and Global Heart-Warming share neither the origin nor the end product; while the former relates to humans physically and aims to destroy, the latter connects to human hearts and aspires to heal. Global Heart-Warming is a mission originated in Austria and carried out by millions of ceramic hearts, each heart carefully hand-crafted by Margit Denz, an internationally renowned artist who had held numerous exhibitions in museums and galleries worldwide. Through various forms of her handmade hearts, Margit hopes to spread the joy of life and sensuality across the world and touch every human’s heart with warmth carried by her hearts. Jumping off Margit Denz’s hands, these delicate hearts begin their journey across the globe to warm people’s heart and conquer the world with joy and sensuality.

An old Egyptian myth says: the heart is the center of soul and feelings – a gift at birth that controls all human actions and expressions. Therefore, human ability to feel emotion is an innate gift worth celebrating. It is the fact that hearts are connected to emotions that makes every heart unique; facing life encounters of ups and downs, joy and misery, our hearts have different feelings. Margit translates these feelings into ceramics, visualizing our intangible emotions and allowing us to confront our inner self with honesty. Our hearts can be heavy or easy, weak or strong, cold or warm, hard or soft; sometimes given to our beloved ones, sometimes reserved in loneliness. How do these delicate hearts fulfill the mission of Global Heart-Warming? Don’t let their size fool you. They are small, yet they understand the most. Margit’s Global Heart-Warming consists of 8 series, namely Red, Heaven, Homeland, Textile, Bluemoon, Erotic, Honey and Sea; fully representative of human emotions. Yet of course, these tiny hearts would individually connect to their lucky owners and develop new interpretations after conquering their hearts.
