Born and bred in the West Country of England, Garry Floyd is a talented, emerging artist who has an art and design Degree at Somerset College of Art. Having worked almost exclusively on large-scale acrylic abstracts as a student, Garry began experimenting and fell in love with the immediacy and contrasts of pastels, thriving on the ultimate control gained through working the medium with his hands. As a huge animal lover and have owned many Bear soft toys as a child, Garry created the collection of The Luvimals and has captured the attention of galleries stretching from his home town of Minehead in Somerset to England’s East Coast, and more recently New York and Hong Kong. Each artworks represents Garry’s in some shape and form and each a personal diary of his life.
