With art fever hitting Hong Kong this May for Art HK 2011, On Pedder and JOYCE are excited to announce a four-way collaboration with Madhouse Contemporary for the first-ever Asian public appearance and art exhibition of Irish-born LA-based designer and artist Tom Binns.

Under the curation of Madhouse Contemporary, JOYCE’s main window will be transformed into “It is Now” exhibition with a display of the artist’s Dadaism inspired works covering over 30 years of art practice, including pieces featured in his books “Incite 2009” & “Incite 2010”. On May 27th, On Pedder and JOYCE will open their doors to art enthusiasts for a special preview of the exhibition and a rare opportunity to meet the artist. "I am thrilled to be able to present my recent work for the first time in Hong Kong with On Pedder who have graciously allowed me to have this opportunity”, states the artist. “It's going to be far out in the Far East!"

Beside the art exhibition on the ground floor of JOYCE, On Pedder will showcase art pieces from Tom Binns’ “Masai Future Fantastic Fluo” collection, inspired by African tribes, together with a preview of his Autumn Winter 2011 collections. As well as the “Sonic Sonnets” collection, featuring the most innovative art pieces in neon colors that draw inspiration from bioluminescent sea creatures, a “Black Room” concept, gives our audience the experience of being inside an aquarium.  “It is Now” art exhibition brings Artist Tom Binns’ talents to Hong Kong during Art HK 2011 at On Pedder and JOYCE, presenting our viewers a profound visual experience beyond the artist’s craftsman-ship and imagery.
