They continue to exhibit at international art fairs from New York to Monaco, Hong Kong and Paris, and have also curated exhibitions sponsored by Barclay’s Bank, First Pacific Group, and Standard Chartered Bank at The Royal Academy, The Saatchi Gallery, and Lancaster House to name a few. They are the exclusive partner of Heathrow VIP, where they curate a Contemporary art collection of international, investment worthy artists, and have managed and curated collections for a diversified client base, including some of the world’s most discerning private and corporate collectors.

Yan Gallery will be exhibiting an exciting collection of works from a diverse group of artists; Liu Chunhai, Chen Lianqing, Richard Winkworth, Louise Soloway Chan and Sam Cheng.

Contemporary Chinese artist Liu Chunhai is best known for his large works on canvas depicting girls of the Cultural Revolution period, defiantly showing their own individuality and feminine allure, despite the restrictions of the era. Chen Lianqing delicate works in ink show a sense of political satire and are a reminder of how politics influences our daily lives. Richard Winkworth works in encaustic on wood and for this exhibition has done a series of small square panels focusing on Hong Kong landscapes, rich with colour and intensity. Although Louise Soloway Chan is best known for her sculptural relief work, lately she has been working on a series of street scenes in ink on paper. With quick and free brush strokes she captures caricatures of local Hong Kong people, from the fishmonger at the wet market to the coolie in the street, to the tai-tais chatting on the phone. And finally, Sam Cheng, a recent graduate of the Chinese University, Hong Kong, who works in ink and colour on paper. Meticulous small brush strokes define her ‘gong-bi’ style, she paints whimsical scenes of childhood past-times, such as riding on carousels, playing with paper boats.
