Yan Gallery, in conjunction with Gallery by the Harbour, is delighted to announce its forthcoming exhibition entitled “Colourful World”, which will feature a collection of mixed media paintings by the Italian artist Francesco Lietti.
Francesco has been living in Hong Kong since 2006 and has immersed himself in the city. In this collection of works he has painted scenes from his travels around the world, as well as scenes from Hong Kong. Lietti’s world is a colourful place. He has a clear love of architectural design and many of his works feature stylized houses juxtaposed against a colourful backdrop. The Hong Kong skyline features predominantly in his art and yet he also enthralls us with his vibrant and lively landscapes from around the region.
Lietti works in acrylic and oils on canvas, but also uses collage to give his paintings texture and depth. He varnishes his finished works, which further enhances the brightness of the colours
Francesco was born in Lecco, on the southern shore of Lake Como in Italy. He studied architecture in Milan and furthered his studies in Paris at the École des Beaux Arts, La Seine and also at the Clerkenwell College of Printing in London. His works are featured in private collections worldwide.
