YU Han Xi was born in 1976 in Hunan. He now resides in Beijing and is a professional artist. Although young in age, YU possesses superior and highly technical skills that have won the praises of art critics. His paintings of Tibetans are often large in scale, but perfectly rendered with amazingly realistic details. Through his creations, YU describes the lives of the Tibetans and highlights their strength and resilience to the harsh living conditions. In contrast we also see a tinge of softness in his subjects; and are drawn into the mystical land of the Tibetan highlands.
