Taiwanese artist Chiu Ya Tsai specializes in portraits. In general Ya Tsai paints cultural figures or people of the bourgeois class, including poets, artists and professors. These people are located in places of classical beauty. Instead of just representing the facial expressions of the models, Chiu Ya Tsai focuses on their minds, which are refined by their cultural activities.
1953 Born in Taipei
Besides being a painter, Chiu Ya Tsai is also an active writer who has published numerous novels in recent years.
