Zee Stone Gallery is proud to present: The Colour of Time, the first major solo exhibition by Hou Xi. Hou Xi is a young artist from Chengdu, South West China. Her work is both original and references her Chinese background. The smoothly curved lines of her paintings, inspired by Chinese ink paintings, encompass complementary fields of colour and construct a complex, dazzling composition, conveying a sense of constant movement, reminiscent of 1960s psychedelic light effects.

Hou Xi says: “My paintings interpret the abstract concepts of time and space, where the sense of movement created by the line reflects the passing of time and the infinity of space.”
