Ramil Gapasov was born in Krasnoyarsk (Sybirea) in 1965. 

In 1981, he entered the Art College of Naberezhnye Chelny (Art Department).
In 1987, he entered Stroganov MHPA (faculty “Decor, designing of exhibitions and advertising design”). Ever since then, he has been living and working in Moscow. 

Since 1991, he has participated in a number of art exhibitions both in Russia and abroad. 

From 1992, he has been doing interior design; a reason why the picturesque works of the artist harmoniously blend with the most vanguard living quarters and public areas.
 
Ramil Gapasov’s dynamic and multi-faceted work is constant to the spirit of the times. Yet, what distinguish his works are the delicate style, aestheticism and daintiness.  The ambivalence and complication of the sensitive artist’s nature motivates him to create emotionally different works. His graphically elegant moderation of town views amazingly contrasts with the vivid, saturated still life and unreal, fantastic scenery.  It is with the bright deep colours, the play of light and shade, easy and masterly brushwork with the palette knife that make them unique.  There is no doubt that the artist has found the precise degree of painting reality in true colours that compels a viewer to shed the perspective of a passive contemplator and become actively involved in the exciting process of thinking out what he/she has just seen.
