subtlyextravagant documenta 2010 is a mischievous retrospective showcase of A‧lift events in 2010.

Established by a group of creative minds in November 2009, A‧lift is where independent artists and designers execute their surrealistic desire and imaginative concepts. With exhibition site, The A‧lift, in Futian District of Shenzhen and studio in Fotan, Hong Kong, we provide a platform to showcase interesting works from Hong Kong artists and designers in China.

subtlyextravagant is best to describe A‧lift's multiformity in dealing with creativity. We enjoy working with subjects of different nature, from minimal to progressive, from boredom to playful, from modern to postmodern. Not only we have curated numerous art exhibitions in the past year, but also we have presented several design events at The A‧lift throughout 2010.

We are proud to present our debut showcase in Hong Kong, subtlyextravagant documenta 2010 at 10 Years of Fotanian: OpenStudios 2011.
