Culture Club Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Hong Kong based South African artist, Nathan King.  Originally from South Africa, Nathan graduated from Rhodes University with 2 degrees in the Arts. Focusing mostly on fashion and portraiture, His award winning work has allowed him to work on diverse projects in many different countries. This is Nathan's third show in Hong Kong where he is based.

Artist Statement:

The show is a concoction of surreal imagery - a series of discarded photographs from commercial photo- shoots as a backdrop to a set of visually adulterated images. Shots are distorted and overlaid with text and graphics in an effort to abstract the images and remove them from the context of fashion photography. The imagery invites a response, similar to a Rorschach test, in which the unconscious reaction of the viewer creates new, parallel interpretations which add significant layers of understanding to each piece.
