Heinz Martin Breuer was born on 1979 in Bonn (currently living in China). He started to work as an artist in the early nineties.
Coming from the background of being a political activist he merged into the European urban art scene. Soon he started pushing the borders of those subcultural structures. In the year 2000 he decided to make art his profession and went to study Art At the Art Academy Duesseldorf, where he graduated as the master student of Joerg Elmendorf in 2008. During his studies he already spent long term residencies in China driven by curiosity and the wish to explore china’s "new" society. Breuer focuses on the philosophy behind traditional Chinese ink painting and tries to translate this mindset in western techniques.
He organized several exhibitions in Europe and China bringing Chinese artists to Europe and inviting Western artists to China. He himself is represented by several galleries and took part in Museum shows and art fairs throughout Asia and Europe. His works deal with the "condition" and its interference. The hidden agenda of existence.
