To celebrate gallery’s 40th anniversary, Galerie du Monde will present a series of exciting and innovative solo and group exhibitions. Apart from exhibiting a number of outstanding contemporary Chinese artists, the gallery will be committed as ever to foster and promote a group of emerging talents from the Mainland. As Hong Kong’s oldest gallery, established in 1974, Galerie du Monde will commence its 40th anniversary celebrations with a solo exhibition by the brilliant young Chinese artist Li Hao. The exhibition will present the artist’s latest works in ink on Xuan paper.
Li Hao was born in 1982, and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. In 2012, His work “The Transformation About 798” was selected to be shown in The Second Modeling Art Exhibition of New Artists at the National Art Museum of China; in the same year, another of his works, “Get Lost”, was included in The Fifth Beijing International Art Biennale at the National Art Museum of China. His works have been exhibited extensively in China over the past few years and were shown at Art Taipei in November of this year.
