by Art Experience Gallery
Location: Art Experience Gallery
Artist(s): LI Xin, LI Yin, HUI Xin
Date: 24 Mar - 20 May 2011

'The intimate moment of three strangers' will be held from March 24 to May 20, 2011 in Art Experience Gallery. Established in Hong Kong in 2010, Art Experience Gallery leverages on a new geographical location in Hong Kong and its unique cultural and positive economic circumstances, we promote contemporary Asian art by providing more exchange platforms for emerging artists to share their ideas and artworks with much wider audience.  Young artists can exhibit their works through collaborations in our regular exhibitions and branding programmes to establish a new mode of exhibiting contemporary art for the expanding international market.

For 2011 we present three young artists Hui Xin, Li Xin and Li Yin for their premiere show in Hong Kong. 'The intimate moment of three strangers' demonstrates painterly techniques in distinctive artistic styles like encountering the minds of strangers, yet reflecting shared perspectives from our younger generation in modern society.

The artists each have their own symbols representing hidden messages with their brushstrokes. All graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, they have fetched prizes when exhibiting in different major art institutions including museums and galleries across Europe and Asia.  Hui Xin composes with found objects and images into fictitious scenery, and vitalizes them with dazzling colors. Li Xin fascinates us in dark scenes of limbs winding around young bodies, animals and plants, projecting a twisted reality from the growth experience. Li Yin’s work is a melody on the sadness of youngsters on how they lost their souls in troubled times, in gurgling waves; instead of playing with water, people lost themselves and their dreams as time goes by.

From their new commissioned series we can have a glimpse on how the young minds permeates the cultural transformation under drastic changes in a westernized modern China, it will be a room for exchanging ideas with the Hong Kong audiences. Hui Xin, Li Xin, Li Yin and the curator Anita Zeng will attend the opening cocktail to share with you their artistic journey.
