Art Experience gallery shall continually present three young Chinese painters who deploy new perspective on the narration of social and cultural issues in their works. Artists act as narrators of historical events and record their pictorial diaries on the canvas, they combine aesthetics and tell stories of how they reinterpret what actually has happened. All these works are vivid depiction of our generation which see differently their national and self-identity from a shared cultural ground with the Hong Kong audience.

Nan Chao combines portraits of female representing Mother Nature with elements of classic Chinese landscape sketches from the Ming dynasty, a creative way to utilize masterpieces as training grounds for amateurs to appropriate from. The employment of painterly skills on sculptural objects is imminent from his latest series in turning alive the eight famous masters ‘Ba Da Shan Ren’(八大山人) handscrolls.

Wang Nan Fei studies and resides in American, frames her painting and sculpture like photography, her works are artistic reflections of isolated individuals in a communal China society, recording daily lives in historical events on her canvas with national icons and identities like the panda, superman and victims suffering from the Sichuan earthquake.

Li Xin utilizes Greek methodology in his skillful portraits of a young unsettling generation trapped in their psychological world of the ideal self in pursue towards self-actualization. The entanglements of thorns and roses around the young male figure are individual struggles against the norms and traditions established since ancient times.
