Choi So-Young uses a very special medium, denim, for her artworks. She portrays cityscapes of Korea by transforming such an unusual material to artworks, which is a really refreshing attempt. CHOI So-Young graduated from Dong Eui University, Busan at 2003 and has held exhibitions in various galleries and art museums in Korea.
Lee So-Yeun’s paintings mainly focus on self-portraits, which create a subtle theatrical atmosphere. The theme of this series is about her dream, places where she wishes to be and things that she wishes to have. Lee So-Yeun graduated from Academy of Fine Arts Muenster, Germany at 2007 and has staged solo exhibitions in Korea, Japan and Germany.

Mega movie star Ha Jung-Woo’s works are constantly playing mind-game with the audience; which the paintings of “real Ha” are merely characters he acted. We have to find out the true self by ourselves. Ha Jung Woo is both a popular Korean movie star and an artist. Critics have said the colours and composition of Ha’s paintings are reminiscent of those by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Artist Kwon Hyun-Jin’s paintings may seem to be pure abstraction, but they are in fact a journey of self-discovery and poetry of a young woman. To her, painting is a way of conveying her thoughts with sub-consciousness and consciousness. Kwon Hyun-Jin graduated from Master of Fine Arts in Pratt Institute, New York in 2006, and has held solo exhibitions in cities such as New York, Japan and Korea.

Shin Hwa Gallery
Lee Kyou-Hong makes the most of the character of the glass, retaining the light even when it is not under the sun, which is mystically beautiful. The landscape behind the glass is very realistic yet not remote. The glass dews on the surface add freshness and brightness to the work. Lee Kyou-Hong received the Master of Fine Arts at Edinburgh College of Art in 2004 and held exhibitions around the world including New York, London and Australia.
Park Sung-Tae uses aluminum net to create horses full of power and speed. The horses are extraordinary combination of lightness of see-through material with exquisite details and the heaviness of subject matter. Park Sung-Tae received the Master of Fine Arts in Oriental Painting from Graduate School of Seoul National University in 1993. His works have been collected by various Korean art museums including National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea.
