With works shown at various museums and the 54th Venice Biennial, “History Rekindled” will bring to Hong Kong the artist’s three signature series “Rose”, “Cloud” and “Motherland” which depicts the struggles and tension between different dualities in life — life and death, dream and reality, the joy of love and being loved, the transience of life and the timelessness of history.
