Moon Gallery proudly presents “Atomic Mutation”, a Solo exhibition featuring the latest photographic works of Japanese contemporary artist Masaru Tanaka.
Born and raised in Hiroshima Japan, Masaru Tanaka graduated from Tokyo Zokei University studied Film, Video Art and Photography. Being a post war generation from Hiroshima, it is not surprising that Tanaka’s works display a strong message of peace (anti-war). The subject of radioactive mutation has become more important in his recent works.
On the other hand, Tanaka is very interested in the natural form of Digital photography. He deliberately use a mini professional camera call Rolleiflex MiniDigi Art to take photograph and use digital noise as part of the intended texture of the photograph.
“Atomic Mutation” is Masaru Tanaka’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong. This exhibition provides a rare opportunity to see this Japanese contemporary artist in Hong Kong. It is a not-to-be-missed exhibition for art and photography lovers.
Moon Gallery Hong Kong continues to be the leading gallery to promote Japanese, Korean, British and Chinese contemporary art, and to exhibit the most influential artists of today and tomorrow.
