In conjunction ‘Festival Korea’ (organized by Consulate General of the Republic of Korea), Moon Gallery proudly presents “Visual – Korean Contemporary Art Exhibition”, an exhibition featuring the five of the most celebrated Korean contemporary artists. With four different media, Video Art, Contemporary Painting, Contemporary Ceramics and Contemporary Korean Ink Painting, artists Lee Lee Nam, Kim Joong Sik, Kwon Yeo Hyun, Lee Wang Young and HUR Jin will showcase their latest works to Hong Kong audience.
Lee Lee Nam is the most well-known video artist in Asia. With his interpretation of Ink painting on video, Lee set a new standard to video Ink painting. Pop artist Kim Joong Sik explores the relation between cultural icon and tradition value. The renowned painter/performance artist Kwon Yeo Hyun’s painting deals with the inner-self of Korean people. Ceramic artist Lee Wang Young deconstructs the traditional form of ceramic work. As one of the most influential artist, Hur Jin combines the modern and traditional approach toward his ink paintings, result is a ground breaking feast of color and images.
