Nguyen Quoc Dung follows the European Realism, a style consisting many criteria that became a main stream one in Vietnam with the establishment of Indochina Fine Arts College in 1926 in Hanoi. And while he’s obsessed by concepts in western classical art, Dung is also influenced by eastern culture and by traditional style, too. This might be the only tiny deterrent in the understanding between viewers and painter.
