Wicky Wong has been involved in photography since his childhood in Hong Kong. He initially learned to photograph on film and moved to his now preferred digital medium in 2004. He also transformed his photography over the years from primarily a purely functional part of his business to an artistic passion.
Wicky lived and worked on the coast of Africa for two years from 2006. This, his first exhibition in Hong Kong, shows where he has captured the true beauty of the natural environment, its inhabitants’ profound connection with the ocean and the harsh simplicity of their lives.
It is Wicky's sincere wish that an appreciation and respect for the people and habitat be foremost in the minds of all who visit the shores of the African Coast.
