The art scene of Hong Kong in May 2011 is under spotlight, with countless exhibitions and...  events going on in town, Gallery 27 proactively takes part in this season of art by hosting “OH MY BRAND!” – an exhibition featuring a brand new series of works by anothermountainman (Stanley Wong), whose 30 years of creative career span from photography, graphic design, visual art and advertising.

Started his career as a designer, anothermountainman revisits his role, and joins forces with 8 creative partners from different fields to create a series of hypothetical food packaging design to pay tribute to their favourite consumer brands. Through this series of works, this unprecedented creative team also attempts to explore the exploding growth of consumerism and the rise of brand-building in contemporary society.

The 8 guests are namely Carina Lau (the best actress of this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards), Du Juan (international super model), artist Simon Birch, Douglas Young (founder of G.O.D.), Craig Au Yeung (renowned writer and food critic), Cedric Chan (singer, performer & lead actor of Zuni Icosahedron’s East Wing West Wing drama series), Chen Jiao Jiao (editor-in-chief of the Outlook Magazine, the leading visual & creative magazine in China), plus Alan Chan, founder of Gallery 27.
