This season Gallery 27 presents works by 7 home-grown Hong Kong illustrators – Siu Hak, Tak Yeung, John Ho, seemanho, kongkee, Rainbow Leung and Yeung Chi Hang.

The title of the show ‘Chit Chat Hong Kong’ reflects a Hong Kong flavour evoked from the works. Be it figurative, abstract, wild or mocking, each participating artist carries a unique style and character that expresses their very personal views on the city.

Despite the diversified style they have, the 7 artists share one thing in common – they have received design education or working in design industry. They also love to draw – whatever, wherever and whenever – using the most direct and frank hand-drawing techniques, to deliver their feelings and thoughts. Reflecting the food-loving attitude of Hong Kong people, a series of artwork created by the participating artists on food & eating are reproduced into limited edition art prints for sale.
